Field technician training
Training is rigorous by design, to protect each employee and the job site.

Three-week course
New field technicians complete more than 20 hours of initial safety training plus solids control fundamentals.

Final exam
Candidates pass a final exam before they join the Field Technician Apprentice Program and work on job sites.

Supervised apprenticeship
Each apprentice works alongside an experienced field technician for hands-on training under supervision.
Courses and certifications
First aid, CPR and AED; job safety analysis and pre-job planning; lockout/tagout; confined spaces; working at heights and fall protection; hazardous communication; electrical safety; fire protection and prevention; personal protective equipment; forklift and overhead crane safety; emergency response; offshore safety and transportation; process safety management; and hydrogen sulfide (H2S).
Each technician completes annual review training, including ISTC renewal and American Heart Association First Aid, plus quarterly training course requirements.
