Fred Lausen, Jr. founded Stage 3 Separation in 2009 after previously establishing Houston Prime Pipe and Supply and Separation Services, Inc. He brings more than 35 years of experience developing, fabricating, and deploying solids-control and separation equipment. His industry experience and entrepreneurial leadership continue to guide S3S’s strategic direction, technology development, and commitment to operational performance.

Jarod McBride leads S3S’s overall strategy, growth initiatives, and cross-functional execution, directing strategic planning and execution across the company’s business. Since joining S3S in 2010, he has held several operational and executive leadership roles. He brings more than 20 years of oilfield-services experience, beginning his career with BJ Services in 2005 before moving into solids control.

Tom Atkinson leads supply-chain coordination and supports the alignment of field operations, asset deployment, and company planning. His solids-control career spans several decades and includes leadership roles with Houston Prime Pipe and Supply, Separation Services, Inc., and Stallion Solids Control. His extensive operational experience contributes to S3S’s ability to mobilize equipment and support customers across a broad operating footprint.

Matt Carlson oversees contract administration, cost control, financial planning, administrative functions, and special projects. He plays a central role in supporting the company’s financial discipline and organizational execution. Carlson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University.

Nick Phillips leads S3S’s Oilfield Services sales organization across the company’s operating regions. Since joining S3S in 2012, he has helped develop customer relationships and coordinate sales activity across the basins the company serves. Phillips holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business from Oklahoma State University.

Mike Johnston leads S3S’s Canadian business, overseeing business planning, sales, project development, and the coordination of operations and resources. He brings 25 years of experience, having begun his career in directional drilling with Baker Hughes before advancing through operational, commercial, and leadership roles. He holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University and contributes to S3S’s strategic growth across its oilfield and environmental services offerings.

Jared Wipf leads S3S’s Northern Region operations, supporting business planning, sales, project development, and the coordination of operations and resources. His hands-on experience contributes to the alignment of field operations, customer needs, and regional business priorities. He brings more than 15 years of solids-control experience, having begun his career with BOS Solutions in 2011 and progressed through field, operational, and management positions.

Marco Hoyos oversees S3S’s operations across the Southern Region. He brings more than 25 years of solids-control experience spanning offshore and land-based drilling environments, with operational and management positions at Oil Tools and Halliburton prior to joining Stage 3 Separation. He is a graduate of the Instituto Universitario De Tecnologia Industrial and studied at Universidad de Oriente (UDO) in Venezuela.
